Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
       Thursday – September 7, 2006 – 5:45 pm

Present: Selectmen - Chairman, Conrad Dumas; Selectman, Aaron Kullgren; Selectman George Rainier
Selectman Dumas will call the meeting to order at 5:45 pm

Appointments:
6:00 – Code Officer, Peter Hopkins – Hopkins discussed his concerns that that there are no specifications for the ramp bid.  Discussion followed; Hopkins further discussed if the Selectmen would agree that whomever bids on the project understands the IBOC codes should be followed would satisfy his concerns.
Selectmen were in agreement with this recommendation.  Everyone who has already asked to bid on the project will be notified of this requirement.
6:30 – Donald Trow, Logger; Duffy Fox, DPW Super. & Karla Allen, Forester – Mr. Trow had discussed utilizing a portion of a Class VI Road as a landing for a logging job he will be doing on Dunklee Hill Road.  Karla, Duffy & Mr. Trow all walked the property and with abutters permission and a bond of $1,000.00 it was agreed this would be the best location for the landing.  Mr. Trow indicated the property owner was going to split the cost of the bond but doesn’t have the funds at this time; Karla agreed if Mr. Trow pays $500.00 at this time and then $500.00 in a month, it would satisfy the towns position with regards to the road.
Mr. Trow provided Selectmen with a check for $500.00 for the bond and will provide another check a month after the project is started.

·       Letter to SAU regarding questionable residency
Supervisor of checklist – Administrative Assistant discussed the checklist has requested space to store a small file cabinet, and to hold their meetings.  They would also like to purchase a portable printer.  It was suggested they put the small file cabinet in the meeting room and further utilize the meeting room as the place for them to hold their meetings.  They will purchase a portable printer as soon as possible.
Perambulation – Selectman Rainier will get together with Ben Haubrich and walk the bounds between Francestown & Greenfield on September 20, 2006.

With no further business the Selectmen adjourned the meeting at 7:30 pm.   The next scheduled meeting will be Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 5:45 pm
